A committee has been appointed to investigate the crash of a seaplane that was preparing to land at Gregory Lake in Nuwara Eliya.
It is reported that this committee has been appointed under the chairmanship of the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority, Captain Daminda Rambukwella.
Officers from several departments, including engineering and technology, are also included in the committee.
The Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority, Captain Daminda Rambukwella, stated that the work to recover the plane is currently underway.
The work has been carried out with the assistance of the Air Force, Navy, and Police.
