The Sri Lanka Freedom Party says that it will take strict disciplinary action against the SLFP members who supported the National People's Force in the passage of this year's budget in the local government institutions.

Issuing a statement, the party stated that steps have also been taken to temporarily suspend the party membership of the members who have already voted in favor of the National People's Force.

The party also stated in a statement that they have already been asked to explain their reasons, and strict disciplinary action will be taken against them.
