Death toll in Myanmar tragedy exceeds 2,000



More than 2,000 people have now died in the earthquake that struck Myanmar last night.

Foreign media reported that more than 3,900 people were injured and 270 people were missing due to the impact of the earthquake.

The country has reportedly declared a week of mourning.

However, the United States Geological Survey said that the death toll from the earthquake could exceed 10,000.
