The Election Commission has announced that candidates contesting the parliamentary elections, party secretaries, and independent group leaders must submit their income and expenditure reports by midnight on the 6th.

The reports must be submitted separately to the Retu ing Officers of the respective districts. National list candidates are required to submit their reports directly to the Election Secretariat.

Special units have been set up in all districts to accept the reports until 6.00 pm on regular working days and until 12.00 midnight on the deadline.

The Commission wa ed that failing to submit the reports on time is an offense under the Election Commission Regulation Act, and legal action will be taken against defaulters.
