Dr. Chandima Jeewandara, Head of the Department of Allergy, Immunology and Cell Biology, Faculty of Medicine, Jayawardenepura University, says that the report of a new cluster of pneumonia from China reminds us of the days of COVID.
However, the doctor said that he hopes for quick, effective responses and minimal impact on this new disease.
He mentioned that this disease has spread to children in China due to Mycoplasma Pneumonia since May and RSV, Adenovirus and Influenza virus since October.
