The Department of Meteorology says that there will be some rain today (14) in Weste and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts.

It is said that there will be rain or thundershowers in the evening or night at a few places in Uva and Easte Provinces and Mulativu District.

And in the rest of the island there is mainly rainless weather.

The Department of Meteorology urges the people to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
