A person has been arrested by the Panadura South Headquarters Police with a heroin haul worth over Rs. 6 million.

The police stated that the person arrested is a resident of the Wekada area in Panadura.

The suspect was arrested based on a tip-off received by Headquarters Police Inspector Upul Priyankara, and 5 mobile phones used for smuggling were also taken into police custody.

The suspect is scheduled to be produced before the Panadura Magistrate's Court.
