The Criminal Investigation Department has ordered the remand of Motor Transport Commissioner General Kamal Amarasinghe, who was arrested.

This was after he was produced before the Kurunegala, Pilessa, Magistrate's Court today (30).

He has been remanded until April 10.

It is reported that the Walana Central Anti-Corruption Unit has initiated an investigation following a tip-off regarding an illegally assembled cab.
