The Fort Magistrate's Court today (11) ordered the further remand of former Presidential Secretary Saman Ekanayake.

This is until the 18th of February.

He has been remanded on suspicion of aiding and abetting the offence by approving an amount of over Rs. 1.62 billion for former President Ranil Wickremesinghe to undertake a private visit to Britain.

Accordingly, it is reported that this order was given when the relevant case was taken up today (11).
