A Zonal Education Director and a teacher advisor in Dehiattakandiya have been arrested.

They were arrested by a group of officers from the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.

A person who had left the service has been arrested on charges of accepting Rs. 50,000 to extend the attachment given to the Dehiattakandiya Zonal Education Office by the Ministry of Education after being reinstated.

It is reported that they were arrested yesterday (10) at the Dehiattakandiya Zonal Education Office.
