Sports Minister Harin Fe ando is confident that the ban on Sri Lankan cricket will be lifted soon.

Speaking in the Parliament, the minister said that he had exchanged views with the authorities of the Inte ational Cricket Council over the phone to remove the ban on cricket in Sri Lanka.

He also mentioned that it is possible to get the letter provided by ICC for that purpose within this week.

Meanwhile, the minister said that he hopes to present the charges against Shammi Silva to the ICC.
