The Department of Meteorology has issued a statement saying that there will be some periods of light rain in Weste and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts.

A few places in Easte and Uva provinces may experience rain or thundershowers during evening or night.

The rest of the island will have mainly rainless weather conditions.
 
People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
