The Department of Meteorology has issued an announcement saying that there will be several periods of rain in Galle, Matara and Ratnapura districts.

It also states that there will be some rain in the Weste Province and Kegalle, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts.

A few places in Easte and Uva Provinces and Mullaitivu District may experience rain or thundershowers in the evening or at night.
 
There will be mainly rainless weather in the rest of the island.
 
People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
