With the heavy rains affecting the island, 04 spill gates of Rajangana Reservoir have been opened.

The irrigation engineer in charge of Rajangana stated that a water capacity of 4340 cubic feet per second will be released into Kala Oya.

Due to this, people living in low-lying areas around Kala Oya have also been informed to be careful.
