1,087 suspects were arrested in raids carried out yesterday (07) under the 'Ratama Ekata' national operation, which is being carried out across the country to eliminate toxic drugs from the country.

The Police Media Division stated that the police have recovered 583 grams of ice, 416 grams of heroin, and a number of toxic drugs, including kush, from the raids.

Detention orders have been obtained against 11 of the suspects arrested.

The police stated that steps have also been taken to refer 16 people identified as drug addicts for rehabilitation.
