18 health trade unions have decided to engage in an island-wide symbolic strike tomorrow (18), demanding solutions to pay discrepancies.

The Health Professionals' Federation stated that this decision was taken due to the failure of discussions with the Ministry of Finance officials in this regard.

Similarly, the Gove ment Nursing Officers' Association has started a strike action by walking out of services for 03 hours today (17) based on several demands, including non-promotion.

Accordingly, it is reported that this strike will be implemented between 10.00 am and 1.00 pm.
