Acting Chief Epidemiologist, Dr. Samitha Ginige says that there should be no undue fear of monkeypox in the society.

Recently, with the identification of two more cases of monkeypox, the number of cases identified in Sri Lanka has increased to four.
 
He further mentioned that the transmission of monkeypox from one person to another is at a very low level.
