The Academic Advisory Board of the National Institute of Education has approved the removal of the controversial lesson from the Grade 6 English module.

Minister of Education and Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya stated that the approval was given yesterday (06).

The Prime Minister announced this in Parliament today (07).
