A meeting between President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Bill Gates took place yesterday (03) during the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 28) held at Dubai Expo City.

It is stated that these discussions have been conducted focusing on global challenges and the leadership Sri Lanka can provide for the tropical region.

Mr. Gates has promised to provide support through the 'Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation' for the establishment of a related data system as well as climate expertise.
