For the first time in Sri Lanka's history, foreign exchange ea ings from the export of coconut and coconut-based products have exceeded one billion US dollars.

The Export Development Board stated that this revenue has increased to 1,033.9 million US dollars during the period from January to October 2025.

This represents a significant growth of 43.83% compared to the corresponding period in 2024, the board further stated.
