This year, health officials have reported 33,572 dengue patients and 19 deaths.

Community Health Specialist Dr. Thushani Dabarera stated that 8321 dengue patients have been reported in May alone.

The largest number of these patients have been identified from the districts of Colombo, Gampaha, and Kurunegala.

Community Health Specialist Dr. Thushani Dabarera further stated that 50% of the dengue patients have been reported from the Weste Province.
