The Department of Meteorology announces that the atmospheric condition in the south-easte Bay of Bengal will develop into a cyclone today.

According to the department, it is expected to move towards Bangladesh and Myanmar.

Due to this situation, it is mentioned that rain may occur in many parts of the island in the next few days.
 
The announcement states that strong winds and rains are expected especially in Weste , Sabaragamuwa, Central, South and North-West provinces.
