Accordingly, it is stated that an estimated cost of $74 million has been allocated for the renovation of the railway line from Rambukkana to Kadugannawa.
Deputy Minister Prasanna Gunasena stated that an estimated cost of $2 million has been allocated for the construction of the line from Kadugannawa to Peradeniya.
Meanwhile, it is reported that an estimated cost of $5 million has been allocated for the renovation of the section of the northe line between Mahawa and Omantha, which is being carried out through the Indian financial facility.
