Dhananjaya de Silva has been appointed as the Sri Lanka Test cricket captain and Kusal Mendis as the vice-captain.

It is for the Test match against Afghanistan.

Chairman of the Selection Committee Upul Tharanga stated this at the special press conference held at the Sri Lanka Cricket Institute today (3).

Dilruwan Perera, Indika De Seram, Ajantha Mendis and Tharanga Paranavithana also participated in the press conference.
