The Kandy Police Divisional Criminal Investigation Unit has arrested a doctor driving a luxury car with fake number plates on suspicion.

It is reported that the arrest was made during a surprise search conducted at Sumangala Mawatha, Wariyapola, Kandy, following a phone call received by the Police Emergency Call Unit.

The suspect doctor is being investigated by the Kandy Divisional Criminal Investigation Unit.
