A strong earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale has struck Shimane Prefecture, Japan.
Foreign media reported that it occurred at 10.18 am local time on Tuesday.
Furthermore, 10 minutes later, another earthquake measuring less than 5 on the seismic intensity scale occurred in the Yasugi area.
Its magnitude is reported to be 5.1 on the Richter scale.
Foreign media reported that the Japan Meteorological Agency has not issued any tsunami warning regarding these earthquakes.
