Professor Sir Ian Wilmut, the scientist who led the team that cloned Dolly the sheep, has died.
It is said that he was 79 years old when he died.
It is reported that he was suffering from Parkinson's disease for 5 years.
Foreign media reported that Dolly gave hope to find a cure for this condition.
Dolly is also known as the first mammal to be cloned from an adult cell.
