Jake Larson, known on social media as Papa Jake, has died.

Foreign media reported that he was 102 years old at the time of his death.

He was an active member of World War II.

Larson is reported to have been among the Allied forces during the D-Day landings that attacked Nazi German forces on the coast of northe France in 1944.
