The gove ment has decided to relax the import restrictions of several types of goods that are essential and necessary for economic growth.
 
Accordingly, Minister of State for Finance Mr. Shehan Semasinghe stated that he hopes to ease the import restrictions next June.

He said this while joining the debate held in Parliament yesterday (23) on several orders related to the gazettes issued under the Excise and Tobacco Tax Acts.
