Elon Musk announced plans to relocate the headquarters of SpaceX and X (formerly Twitter) from Califo ia to Texas.

This decision follows Califo ia Gove or Gavin Newsom's signing of a law preventing schools from requiring teachers to inform parents when a student changes their gender identity.

Musk, who has a transgender daughter, cited this law and other policies as detrimental to families and businesses.

He also expressed frustration with safety issues in San Francisco, where X is based.

Musk previously moved Tesla’s headquarters from Palo Alto in Silicon Valley to Austin, Texas, in 2021, and changed his residence from Califo ia to Texas.

Tesla, the world’s most valuable car company, still maintains an 'engineering headquarters' in Califo ia.

Since taking over X in 2022, Musk has become increasingly outspoken about his political views, often criticizing policies and public figures he considers excessively left-wing or 'woke.' He recently endorsed Donald Trump for president.
