The police have banned fireworks or celebrations in Sharjah on New Year's Eve 2024.

Authorities said it was a decision to express solidarity with the Palestinians in the war-to Gaza Strip.

The police say that they will take legal action against those who violate the ban and request all institutions and individuals to cooperate.

As a result of the war between Israel and Hamas, over 20,000 people have already died in the Gaza Strip, and seventy percent of them are women and children.
