The Department of Meteorology has issued an announcement saying that rain or thundershowers will occur at places in the Easte , Central and Uva provinces and Mulativu and Polonnaruwa districts especially in the evening or at night.

It also states that there will be several rainy seasons in Weste , Sabaragamuwa and Southe provinces and in Jaffna and Puttalam districts.

Occasional gusty winds around 40-50kmh in weste and southe coastal areas.

People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
