The Department of Meteorology issued a statement stating that showers or thundershowers may occur at isolated places in the Weste , Sabaragamuwa, Central, Northweste , and Southe provinces today (15) in the evening or at night.

Accordingly, showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the North-Central, Uva, and Easte provinces in the evening or at night.

The department further stated that moderately heavy rains exceeding 50 millimeters may occur at some places in the Weste and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Galle, Matara, and Kurunegala districts.
