Police say they will seek a freezing order on the properties of MP Rohitha Abeygunawardena's daughter if she does not surrender to the police in the next few days.

Police said they had checked several locations where they had received information that she and her husband were staying and that they had not been to any of them.

They are scheduled to be arrested in connection with investigations into an incident involving the illegal import and assembly of a jeep into the country.
