Pakistan has received the approval of the Inte ational Monetary Fund for a loan of 700 million US dollars.

Foreign media reports said that the Inte ational Monetary Fund's Executive Board has approved this yesterday (11).

Pakistan's performance under this program has supported significant progress in stabilizing the economy, it said.

The Inte ational Monetary Fund has said that Pakistan's economy is expected to grow by 2% in fiscal 2024 after contracting the previous year.

Foreign media reports further state that IMF funds are very important for Pakistan to get financing from other creditors like Saudi Arabia.
