A man has been arrested by Wadduwa Police after tearing up his ballot paper at a polling station in Pothupitiya, Wadduwa.

According to authorities, the individual requested to leave the polling station after collecting his ballot, claiming he had forgotten his preference numbers.

When officials informed him that he could not exit with the ballot, he tore it up in frustration.
