Starting August 15, Korean Air will stop serving instant noodles to economy class passengers, citing the increased risk of bu s during turbulence.
Business and first-class passengers will still receive the snack, which has been popular among flyers.
The airline will replace the noodles with sandwiches, co dogs, pizza, and 'Hot Pockets.' This decision follows a reported doubling of turbulence incidents since 2019.
The change has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some applauding the move for safety reasons, while others point out that other hot items like coffee and tea remain on the menu.
