Former Colombo Municipal Councilor Mr. Mahinda Kahandagama has been arrested by the Colombo Fraud Investigation Division.

That person is accused of defrauding money.

He has been accused of taking 7 million from a person by promising to provide an apartment in a housing complex in Colombo 02 area.
 
The police said that he has been remanded till June 22 after being produced before the Colombo Magistrate's Court.
