Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar is scheduled to visit Sri Lanka.

Accordingly, it is reported that he will arrive in Sri Lanka next week.

The main objective of this visit is to support the post-disaster recovery plan being implemented after the devastation caused by the recent cyclone 'Ditwa' that hit Sri Lanka.

The minister is scheduled to announce a special cooperation package for the recovery of the country after the disaster.
