The Sri Lankan Election Commission has announced the final results for the Galle District in the 2024 General Election. The National People’s Power (NPP) emerged as the leading party, capturing over 68% of the total votes in the district.

The NPP received 406,428 votes, securing the district win, while the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) came in second with 93,486 votes (15.66%).

Based on these results, the NPP has obtained 7 seats in Galle District, with the SJB and the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) each winning 1 seat.

• Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB): 93,486 votes – 1 seat
