The Sri Lankan Election Commission has announced the final results for the Hambantota District in the 2024 General Election. The National People’s Power (NPP) emerged as the leading party, capturing over 66% of the total votes in the district.

The NPP received 234,083 votes, securing the district win, while the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) came in second with 52,170 votes (14.79%).

Based on these results, the NPP has obtained 5 seats in Hambantota District, with the SJB and the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) each winning 1 seat.

• Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB): 52,170 votes – 1 seat
• Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP): 26,268 votes – 1 seat
