The Sri Lankan Election Commission has announced the final results for the Polonnaruwa District in the 2024 General Election. The National People’s Power (NPP) emerged as the leading party, capturing over 68% of the total votes in the district.

The NPP received 159,010 votes, securing the district win, while the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) came in second with 43,822 votes (18.92%).

Based on these results, the NPP has obtained 4 seats in Polonnaruwa District, with the SJB winning 1 seat.

• Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB): 43,822 votes – 1 seat
• Sarvajana Balaya (SRJB): 8,587 votes
• New Democratic Front (NDF): 5,153 votes
• Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP): 4,646 votes
