New Delhi suffers from heat wave



The Indian Meteorology Department, IMD has issued a severe heat wave red alert wa ing for Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh as temperature continues rising throughout Northwest India.

The meteorology Department predicts that the heat wave will continue over the next week and it will spread over North Madhya Pradesh & Gujrat State too.

May is considered the hottest month in North India and the usual temperature is around 45 degrees Celsius.

However, New Delhi's temperature increased up to 47.8 degrees Celsius yesterday (19) and it was the reported highest temperature in history.
