The Department of Meteorology has issued an announcement saying that there will be occasional rain or thundershowers in the Weste , Sabaragamuwa and North-Weste provinces and Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts.

It also stated that some places in Weste and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Puttalam, Galle and Matara districts may experience heavy rains of more than 50 mm.

Few rains may occur in Mannaram and Hambantota districts and North-Central Province.

In the weste slopes of the Central Hills and in the Northe , North-Central and North-Weste Provinces, Trincomalee and Hambantota Districts, the winds are blowing at times per 40-45kmh.
