The Department of Meteorology has issued an announcement saying that there will be rain from time to time in the Southe Province and Kalutara District.

It also stated that several rainy seasons will occur in Sabaragamuwa and North-West provinces and in Colombo, Gampaha, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts.
 
In Uva province, Batticaloa and Ampara districts, rain or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the evening or at night.

In the weste slopes of the central hills, in the northe , north-central and north-weste provinces, in Trincomalee and Hambantota districts, the wind is blowing at times per 40-45kmh.
 
People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may accompany thunderstorms.
