Pathum Nissanka, who was supposed to play as the opening batsman for the Sri Lankan team, has missed the first one-day cricket match against Zimbabwe tomorrow (6).
Sri Lanka Cricket Team Manager Mr. Mahinda Halangoda, when asked about this, said that it is suspected that Pathum has been infected with 'dengue' fever.
It is reported that he has been referred to a major private hospital in Colombo.
Accordingly, Shevon Daniel has been called to the squad.
