The Department of Agrarian Development says that uncultivated landowners have been notified to indicate the reasons for not cultivating within two weeks.

Commissioner General Rohana Rajapaksa stated that it has been identified that over one hundred and twenty thousand acres of cultivated land have been abandoned without cultivation.
