The US Geological Survey says a 5.1-magnitude earthquake has struck northe Iran.
The quake struck late on Saturday (20) local time.
According to Iranian media reports, the epicenter was 37 kilometers (23 miles) southwest of Semnan province at a depth of 10 kilometers (6 miles).
Foreign media reported that the tremor was also felt in the capital, Tehran, about 150 kilometers (93 miles) from Sorkeh.
