The Department of Meteorology says in an announcement that there will be several periods of rain in Weste and Sabaragamuwa provinces, Galle and Matara districts.

It also said that rain or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Central, Uva and Easte provinces and Mullaitivu district during the evening or night.

The rest of the island will have mainly rainless weather conditions.
 
In the North-Central and North-West Provinces and in Hambantota District, the winds are blowing from time to time per 40-45kmh.
