The Minister of Labor and Foreign Employment Mr. Manusha Nanayakkara says that the remittance received by foreign workers in Sri Lanka in May this year was recorded as 480 million US dollars.

According to the figures of May, the total value of remittances for the year 2023 is reported to be very high compared to the month of May 2022.

The minister further said that another 150 million dollars is needed as monthly remittances to reach the previous level.

He also mentioned that the gove ment is working to make Sri Lanka a high skill export hub.
